From May 14 to September 30, 2026, participating RONA stores, in partnership with GoRecycle, are offering customers a simple and convenient way to recycle their end-of-life portable or window air conditioner.
Thanks to this partnership, you can drop off your air conditioner free of charge at several RONA stores across Quebec throughout the summer season, during regular store hours.
Air conditioners contain refrigerant gases that must be properly recovered to prevent their release into the environment. Once collected by GoRecycle, the appliances are sent to our recycling partners, where over 95% of the materials they contain are recovered and valorized.

RONA is offering the service through a network of 34 stores across Quebec, giving customers another convenient option to responsibly recycle old cooling appliances throughout the summer.
